How can I add fields returned by my query to the canvas? In the demo, the Work Item record (Canvas) does not have all the fields that I need.

Thanks.

Hi--

Any fields that can be represented by text should be shown in the canvas.  Some custom controls shown because they can't be represented by text. Are the fields you are trying to view in the canvas regular text fields?

More generally what type of data/field do you want to have in the canvas that is not showing up?

Thanks for your interest in TeamSpec!

Hi,

I wanted to include the Severity, Work Item Type fields into the Canvas. When I enter a particular work item in the canvas, not all the fields that I need from TFS Work Item Record are displayed. Do you need more information?

Thanks.

Hi--

The severity field should be present.  I just checked to make sure it was present in our test environment.  Shown below is the severity field.  Sometimes all the scroll bars can be a bit confusing.  I circled the scroll bar that will let you see all the fields on the canvas.  If it's not there we'll have to dig a bit further.  Are there any other fields you notice missing?

Thanks!

Hi,

The Severity and Work Item Type fields does not appear in my canvas. I hope you can help me with this issue.

Thank you.

 Hi-

Thanks for your patience while we figure out what the problem is.  Let's dig a little deeper here to see why this is occuring.

1) have you modified the process template you are using for the project?

2) What version of Team Foundation Server are you using?

3) Is there anything unusal about your TFS install?

4) What kind of work item type does this occur on?

Probably the fastest way to figure out what is going on is to have you send me your process template.

You can do this with the following steps:

1) Open up visual studio, and tab to the Team Explorer tab and connect to the TFS server. Right click on the server, choose 'Team Foundation Server Settings, then choose Process Template Manger. From the dialog that appears download the process template that you are using and save.  Zip it up and email it to me directly: rob (at) TeamSystemSolutions.com

Thanks!
