I have installed the Teamspec Word Add-In on a Windows 2008 Server SP2 32 bit and have used the TFS integration under the administrators account successfully (TeamSpecInstaller2.7.205.exe)

When i use an other user to logon to the server, the Word Add-In is not visible.

We use Windows Server with remote access for distributed software development from different locations and need this feature. How to activate the Add-In for all users on a server?

kind regards

Frank

Hello Frank,

TeamSpec (and TeamLook) are both 'Per User' installs.  So each user will need to install the addin for themselves.  This is due to how VSTO (Visual Studio Tools for Office) requires addins to run.  (It's actually a very complicated story and somewhat depends on which version of VSTO is installed and which SP you have for Office -- Suffice it to say what I just said above.)

Anyway, each user will need to install the application.

If this is not possible to do, ping me offline and we can see if we can get a work around for your particular case.

Thanks,
~Joe
